I take a practical, action-orientated approach to working with people in which I seek to establish professional working relationships founded on partnership, respect, listening and confidentiality. I ask people to induct me into their unique individual, family, community, and cultural systems including their strengths, vulnerabilities, resilience, lived experiences, problem solving and communication skills, conflict resolution skills, and beliefs systems.

My practice with men and boys is focused on exploring constructions of manhood. How do men and boys construct their identities, goals, roles, and purpose as individuals, partners, and parents in contemporary Australian society? How do men and boys negotiate their interdependence with others? This work extends to the exploration of personal values systems, mutuality in relationships, self-care and mindfulness skills, dealing with childhood trauma, anger and emotional regulation skills, communication and conflict resolution skills. identifying a code of personal responsibility.
